At Codestorm we pride ourselves in being proactive and finding the right solutions for problems, even those that are out of our control.
The Brexit transition has led to some issues for our Clients’ European orders. For example, shipments to the EU now need extra paperwork and the process is more complicated. Not only that, but every carrier has different processes and requirements. This can lead to inefficiencies, tracking issues, failed deliveries, and extra import duties.
To solve the problem, we have decided to use one International and EU consolidator for all our EU and International shipments.
This new, advanced international parcel delivery service is called ETrak. It is a joint venture between The Delivery Group and The Parcel Monkey Group. Tracked and untracked services are available.
How it works
This is all automated via our warehouse management system, LINK making it fully visible to our Clients.
The integration creates digital customs forms based on the data provided by LINK. This ensures all the relevant paperwork is provided automatically to avoid delays in creating manual shipment data to send.
To send international orders, the following information is required:
- RRP of products sold abroad
- Commodity codes for products sold abroad (they can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/trade-tariff)
- A contact email and telephone number for the parcel recipient
- Your Business VAT Number
- Your Business EORI Number.
The tracked service will have full visibility through LINK with comprehensive tracking and delivery updates. This gives our Clients full visibility of their parcels in transit once they leave the UK.
