Spotlight on Alex Eves, Codestorm’s Head of Client Services.

We’ve managed to catch him and ask him what the Client Services Team has been up to.

It certainly has been a busy few months – busier than the run-up to Christmas.

 

Lockdown and the COVID-19 restrictions have made things a bit more complicated but we have maintained the high levels of service our client partners expect from us.

 

New clients

Since lockdown started in March, we have onboarded 16 new clients, the vast majority being food and drink brands. These include The Duppy Share, Love Corn, Livia’s and The Uncommon.

 

Lockdown changed consumer buying habits and as a result, direct to consumer (d2c) sales have been pushed up the agenda.

 

Seamless Onboarding

Mallow and Marsh and VITFITOur new client partners have been really impressed with how we have onboarded their stock and started to fulfil their orders despite none of them being able to visit our state of the art order fulfilment facility in person.

 

Our bespoke warehouse and order management software, LINK, has integrated seamlessly with their e-commerce platforms and they have full visibility of their stock and orders.

 

The Duppy Share

The Duppy Share PineappleWe’re proud to welcome The Duppy Share as a new client partner. They sell Caribbean rum from Jamaica and Barbados.

 

We fulfil their website orders including orders for their huge 4.5 litre bottles which are perfect for any post-lockdown party. (With social distancing of course!).

 

We also fulfilled their recent promotional orders which included a real pineapple!

 

Cross-selling opportunities

Livias and CafePodWe’re also enabling our clients to market and cross-sell each other’s brands via their own websites. For example, two of our clients, CafePod (coffee) and Livia’s (plant-based treats), offer a free sample on each other’s website and we fulfil those orders. One of the many benefits of being part of the Codestorm network!

 

Always improving

Royal Mail collecting ParcelsWe are always looking at ways we can continue to help our client partners and I have been negotiating lower postage/carriage costs with our postal and courier providers. This will hopefully mean lower costs for all our clients.
